Hoyoung Joo holds a Bachelor's degree in industrial design from Seoul National University of Technology and started his career at GUYON architect association where he worked under architect Guyon Jung↗(1945-2011).

Later, he moved on to LG Electronics as a product designer where he designed TVs and developed concept designs. In 2014, he co-founded Intenxiv, an industrial design studio in Seoul and ran it for 9 years.

In addition to running Intenxiv, he is also a lecturer in industrial design at the University of Seoul and Korea Polytec University. He established a design duo called SFSO↗ with Jaehoon Jung↗, creating conceptual designs that reflect their questions about design and the world around them since 2019.

Recently in 2023, he co-founded the second industrial design studio 'studio 2↗' 

His extensive experience and expertise in the field of industrial design make him a valuable asset to any project or team. His commitment to creating innovative designs have earned him recognition as a prominent figure in the design community.
